A passionate chef stands out amongst the crowded kitchen for their love for food and attention to detail.

Meet the founders Sebastian Joseph, Mathew Lukose and Mathew Alexander.

Joseph was a professional chef in Kerala before he moved to United Kingdom with his family more than two decade ago. To continue his strong passion for culinary arts he completed his professional qualification from Scotland and started a South Indian restaurant Mother India Kitchen years ago in Hoylake Wirral, which is now well established and one of the most popular and favourite place among Indian food lovers in Wirral.

Whereas, Lukose did his bachelor degree in hotel management from Kerala and moved to New Zealand to explore and learn more about his passion. After completing his diploma in professional cookery in Western Institute of Technology Taranaki, New Zealand, he opened one of the top rated South Indian restaurant in New Zealand called Arranged Marriage in Palmerston North .The vibrant spices and his distinctive cooking techniques of Kerala won the Kiwis heart.

All our Chefs are born and brought up in Kerala and has got numerous years of experience in this traditional way of cooking. So there will be no compromise on the quality you can say with- out any doubt it will be the best Indian restaurant in town, a change to the normal curry house.

Story of The Indian Hive..

After an year of planning and effort Joseph and Lukose were able to pull through their vison to make their dream into a reality opening a location in Wallasey. They wanted to bring it out to the people, a mix of every part of India from the bygone era to the contemporary world. Because India is so diverse and each community has its own style of recipes and cooking patterns. We would love our consumers to discover India in what we offer. Putting together an exquisite Malabar cuisines, traditional gourmets and confectionaries, and a fusion we are delighted to cater food with fresh, high grade produce with no artificial flavouring or stabilizers .As we all know food is the best way to a persons heart. We strongly believe in fulfilling in catering the best food and service.

Kerala named as one of the ten paradises of the world , is famous for its enchanting backwaters, lush tea plantations, tropical greenery, coconut lined sandy beaches, beautiful hill stations, rich cultural heritage. Known as Gods Own Country", it offers unique experiences like houseboat Ayurveda and wellness, and vibrant festivals.

This wonderful state right at the bottom of India known by several names due to its diverse productivity value from coconut to spices. It is known as Spice Garden of India and Land of Coconut.

Kerala cuisines are famous for their unique blend of flavours and spices that tantalize the taste buds. It is marinated in this rich, spicy past, blended in cultures from the Portuguese, the Dutch, Arabs and Jews. Every dish tells a story of the rich history of this sliver of a state in southern India, making it a culinary destination for global foodies.

Kerala cuisine offers a multitude of both vegetarian and non- vegetarian dishes prepared using fish, poultry and red meat with rice as a typical accompaniment. Chillies, curry leaves, coconut, mustard seeds, turmeric, tamarind, asafoetida and other spices are also used in the preparation.

The name Indian Hive and the theme is inpired from honeybees and beehive .. Honey bees are considered the anchor of the food chain because they are the final link in the pollination process that produces the food we eat.
